When I first started dibbling and dabbling in my business in 2013, it was very hard for my because I was by myself trying to build a company. I neglected my health, stressed myself and ate and ate…and ate, did I mention I ate?!

I had forgot all about myself. I was not taking care of myself and my health fell behind. Because of that I ended up in the hospital with stomach issues directly dealing with stress. So now, on top of gaining weight and not really sleeping, now I had to pay hospital bills. I was stressed. At that moment, I knew it was time for a change.

As a solopreneur, I understand how hard it is to focus on yourself and your health while you are trying to build your company, but it is important. To ensure that you are taking care of yourself, I have included a few lifestyle tips for the busy solopreneur. Check it below.

Lifestyle Tips for The Busy Solopreneur:

1)Get sleep (7-8 hrs, at least)
I struggle with this because I am a night owl, my greatest ideas come to me at night. To help keep my ideas following and get my needed sleep, I have promised myself to get to bed by at least 11:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. (the latest).
2) Workout at least for 30 min to 1 hr, at least 4 days a week
3) Eat to fuel your body, not to consume your body
Be careful what you are feeding your body! I cannot stress this enough. I used to be a fast food freak, eating kids meals, daily. I did not think I was doing that bad, because I was eating kids meals, but I was wrong. I got IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and messed up by bowels because I was not eating to fuel my body, I was eating whatever I wanted. I did not have any fiber, protein, fruits nor vegetables in my diet. It was horrible, I am ashamed to admit it. It was not until I tried the Super Shred diet by Dr. Ian Smith that changed my entire outlook on food.
4) Never stop learning
5) Feed your mind. Learn something new.
6) Do something fun every week
7) Take a trip
